Job description

As a Sr. Product Manager – Precision Application, you will play a central role in the development and commercialization of Syngenta’s next-generation Precision Application product offering. You will be responsible for uniting technologies from internal application technology R&D programs, software engineering, and computational agronomy with external partnerships and OEM integrations. This role is critical to delivering a grower-ready, scalable solution that enhances productivity, reduces inputs, and supports Syngenta’s business goals.

Product Leadership & Strategy:

  • Define and manage the product lifecycle for precision application solutions, from concept through launch and scale.
  • Develop the go-to-market strategy and product roadmap in alignment with commercial, agronomic, and sustainability priorities.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer by integrating grower feedback, agronomic insights, and commercial input into product development.
     

Technology Integration & Partnerships:

  • Collaborate across Syngenta’s internal teams (Marketing, Application Technology, Digital Ag, R&D, and Agronomy) to synthesize technologies into a unified solution.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage strategic partnerships with agtech firms, OEMs, and external technology providers to complement Syngenta’s capabilities.
  • Oversee interoperability and integration across sensing systems, computer vision, AI/ML models, and spray equipment platforms.
     

Program Execution:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of product milestones, including prototype validation, regulatory compliance, field trials, and market readiness.
  • Manage budget, timelines, and resources in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product efficacy, adoption, and return on investment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Align technical teams with commercial functions to ensure product-market fit and readiness for global and regional launches.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales enablement, regulatory, and support functions to ensure successful product deployment and grower satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Precision Agriculture, Product Management, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in product management or agtech development, with a strong understanding of application systems and precision agriculture.
  • Experience with hardware/software integration, sensing technologies, or machine vision preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional programs and drive technology from concept to market.
  • Proven success in managing partnerships and external collaborations in a matrixed organization.
