Job description

In Action

As the Location and Resource Planning Specialist for Young Plants at Syngenta, you'll optimize production planning across internal and external sites. You'll create and manage season-level plans, balancing quality and cost efficiency. Your role involves leading kick-offs and evaluations, ensuring accurate master data, and providing crucial M2 planning updates to production teams. Although you will work from an office space mainly, you will spend time in the greenhouses as well to understand the details and experience challenges first hand.

The Challenge

Your mission is to create the most efficient growing resource plans for young plant production. You'll collaborate with green teams and production departments to optimize greenhouse space utilization. You'll monitor demand accuracy, coordinate day to day stock movements, and maintain planning master data across multiple systems. Mainly during peak seasons, you'll support short-term planning operations. Your analytical skills will be crucial in reporting KPIs and improving processes.

Qualifications

The Profile

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • An MBO+ degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in production planning and supply chain management
  • Fluency in Dutch and English
  • Strong SAP and Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to handle complex data sets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work accurately under deadlines
  • Affinity for working with living products
  • Continuous improvement mindset
