Role Purpose

Lead the Crop Protection Finance Marketing areas:  Support the US Crop Protection business, with a focus on Crop Protection and Seed Care product strategy, Key Account Management and Marketing. Lead Finance team members supporting Key Accounts, Digital Agriculture, and Business Planning, along with other supporting functions including Customer Service and Technical Services. Influence the business strategy and decision making by providing financial expertise and challenging business views. 

Accountabilities

  • Finance lead for the 5 year planning processes. .
  • Partner with the Marketing and Key Account teams in setting up KPIs and metrics for Crop Protection and Seed Care campaigns based on the organization’s growth and revenue goals, and anticipating direction of financial indicators based on set KPIs.
  • Lead financial support and direction in the management of gross to net pricing & discounts
  • Lead business case development for in-season programs and actions:  marketing programs, term changes, channel GTM strategy decisions, price changes and other needs as required.
  • Recommend program design improvements for both value and internal efficiency.
  • Provide financial counsel and support to the Marketing team regarding program design & enhancements.
  • Provide oversight and overall direction for the process in tracking and monitoring marketing plan and marketing programs spend, including allocation of discretionary resources across all Commercial Units.
  • Business partner with CP Marketing/KAM Leadership Team members to ensure business decisions are supported with robust analysis & with appropriate challenge.
  • Be involved, on an ad-hoc basis in projects managed or led by Crop Protection, Marketing and Key Account management. Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field of study

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field of study along with 10 or more years in accounting / finance
  • Business partnering experience required
  • Financial planning, analysis, modelling and benchmarking skills.  Standard financial analysis tools, i.e., NPV, risk assessment, and value creation. 
  • Experience preparing company budgets

Preferred Requirements

  • Masters degree and / or CPA certification is preferred
