Accountabilities
Deliver BA Maghreb Biostimulant ambition, aiming at reaching >$8m sales by 2027
• Adapt AME Biostimulant strategy to the local requirements
• Develop and deploy a Biostimulant strategy with portfolio strategy alignment with local requirements in BA Maghreb and convert into an actionable plan
• Define 5 Year Plan financial and Market Share targets with BA Maghreb LT and how to meet those targets annually
• Enhance market data by using market intelligence survey for all competitors activities in BA Maghreb
• Provide market intelligence inputs for Biostimulant market and value chain KA evolution
KPIs: improve in market understanding (e.g. I-Plan report of competitors & market segment); effective network with selected stakeholders; improved understanding of Biostimulant segment
Drive & implement Syngenta Biostimulant strategy and campaign to ensure that resources allocation is aligned with business priorities across the countries
• Work closely with the CPD Team to build local “seeing is believing” trials and technical evidence to support our Biostimulant offer
• Define local product positioning in close collaboration with EAME/AME Team and the Biologicals Team to demonstrate its fit to local market needs / context
• Ensure technical recommendation transfer into technical stories for the campaign and commercial force
• Ensure BA needs are covered in early stages to prepare successful NPIs
KPIs: quality of trials and launch plan for biostimulant; NPI readiness check with on-time launch and Business Cases delivered; appropriate product positioning with clear differentiation within biostimulant range.

Ensure Technical & Marketing support for successful launch of Biostimulant
• Communication with impact the Biostimulant strategy and coordinate its implementation through CPD, Marketing & Sales and set cross-functional priorities to deliver the plan
• Design detailed campaign plans to launch new brands including high level content defined together with Campaign Leads
• Provide and ensure the robustness and quality of the technical communications
• Explore opportunities for development in Biostimulant being in touch with trial contractors and Institutes and leverage existing EAME/AME trials
• Lead the relationship with the national advisors and research institutes
KPIs: effective data use & adapted buying factors in launch; number of demo trials and visits; alignment of plan with CPD, Marketing & Sales, alignment with Channel Partners
Act as Biologicals Champion (“go-to-person”) for Biostimulant in BA Maghreb
• Provide agronomic support, training and coaching for Biostimulants and related services to the Commercial force, channel partners and growers
• Analyse data in relation to trial targets and share results & insights within the corresponding group (BA Marketing, CPD Team as well as Technical EAME Team)
• Aligned with EAME CPD on proposed methodology in adaptation trials & protocols to build the story for our targeted crop solutions in biostimulant.
• Propose demo trials & protocols with local technical experts to ensure the desired value proposition is optimally conveyed to targeted customers
• Be the primary point of contact to Biologicals Team for Marketing and Technical topics
KPIs: adequate & impactful trials in local plan; collaboration within BU and towards EAME; effective collaboration with Biologicals Team; insightful story telling of our biostimulant solutions.


Critical success factors & key challenges
• Strong agromomy knowledge and experience in Biostimulant products
• Bring a good mix of analytical skills and knowledge of marketing research techniques
• Understanding and driving of commercial strategy
• Trialing understanding
• To look for new solutions in marketing, agriculture and continually develop knowledge and skills
• Generating new insights to influence strategic thinking
• Biologicals industrial trends, latest competitors move, pipeline updates, investor briefs, etc.


Qualifications

Critical knowledge
• Degree in Agronomy with strong marketing knowledge
• Strong technical experience in Biostimulants and/or Fertilizer Business
• 5 years experience of the agri-business sector in Marketing (concepts, marketing mix principles, etc.) / Segmentation (concept and application), Sales and project management
• Business strategy development / Financial analysis / Business planning / Product knowledge
• Leadership skills: communicate with impact, lead change and hold ambiguity, manage for performance, collaborate across boundaries, build a culture of innovation
• Understanding of competitive environment, product management and line management experience / Knowledge of influencers and channel management
• Agribusiness experience: knowledge of biocontrol and biostimulant products and downstream industrial expectations and needs towards agrochemical companies
Critical experience
• 5 years sales or marketing experience with Biologicals companies (Biostimulant and/or Biocontrol)
• Sales and channel management experience
• Familiar with the North African business environment

• Develop & deliver innovative, customer-driven offers

Additional Information

• Willingness to travel in the in-scope countries
