Manager Remote Sensing

Role Purpose:

• Developing Farmer’s Centric Advisories and Smart Advisory products that impact growers in terms of optimizing the cost of cultivation, Mitigating the Weather risk, and improving overall profitability.
• Analyzing information and processes and developing more effective or efficient processes and strategies.

Accountabilities:

• Perform spatial data analysis, digitization of geographic information, and execute GIS related tasks.
• Serve as the Product Manager to develop an advisory engine utilizing NDVI/NDWI/NDDI Indexes and Images, in close collaboration with the Technical Team.
• Develop and execute strategies for the collection, analysis, and display of geographic data.
• Apply image processing techniques such as image classification and GIS analysis to extract valuable information and results.
• Verify ground truth information using plans and digital sources, and analyze satellite data accurately.
• Engage in field testing and other on-site activities.
• Acquire supplementary data, such as climate or field survey data, to support remote sensing data analysis.
• Collaborate with colleagues to guarantee the accuracy of maps and their compliance with regional map standards.
• Prepare and distribute regular status reports, addressing any pressing concerns.
• Create maps, write reports, and establish Standard Operating Procedures.

Qualifications:

• M.Sc. / M.Tech. / Ph.D.  in Remote Sensing, Geography/ Geo-informatics

Critical Knowledge Experience and Capabilities:

• 2-5 years of experience of working in Agriculture Remote sensing field.
• Should have worked closely with IT team for Remote Sensing based product development.

Critical Leadership Capabilities:

• The candidate should be a strong team player. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The candidate should have good time and project management skills.
• Innovative Thinker.
