Leader Quality Inspection

The department for Quality of Syngenta Flowers is looking for a Leader Quality Inspection.

Into Action 

In this role, you are going to lead the department Quality Inspection of Young Plant Production at our Site De Lier. You effectively coordinate and support the onsite Quality effort to implement and improve the Syngenta Quality management system. You support the functional management in communicating and implementing the Quality Policy, Standards, Codes of practices and Objectives, and embed a Quality culture across Young Plant Production. You adopt and implement new technologies and systems to support quality control activities. You lead projects on Quality and Continuous Improvement in the Young plant Supply Chain and develop quality control policies and standards for the company to follow. Furthermore, you monitor and evaluate internal production processes and organise regular audit programs.

The Challenge

The Leader QI provides leadership for Quality Inspectors and owns the process for development of Young Plant Product Profiles (Product Specifications). You work together with stakeholders, and you are responsible onsite for coordinating the implementation, and communication of the company’s quality strategy, policy, objectives, quality assurance, control, planning, improvement and programs. You make sure the major quality related function risks within the Young Plant Production are identified and reported to management an agree plans to implement actions to eliminate or mitigate the risks. As part of your role, support Facilities manager and Site Management on all HSE-S Q topics, particularly Quality assurance aspects for Letter of Assurance and certification standards. You also engage with commercial team and/ or customers and coordinate communications during changes, issues, or improvements.

Your Profile

To succeed in this position, you have a bachelor’s degree in quality management or related fields. You have demonstrated experience in Quality Assurance and / or Quality Inspection preferably with perishable goods or plants. You have worked in a dynamic team and complex international structure. We are looking for someone with ability to develop efficient processes and to lead improvement or Change projects to successful implementation.
