To support this mission, Syngenta’s Finance Team is seeking a LATAM Costing Coordinator in Montevideo, Uruguay. This role will support the delivery of Costing Process:

Accountabilities

  • Accountable for the analysis and reporting of all LATAM Crop Protection (CP) COGS Variances from Standard: Purchase price variance and currency Purchase price variation (PPV) price & currency) both 3rd Parties and intercompany Efficiency & Sourcing Change; Primary Distribution; Production variations in Toller (Price & tolling efficiency);
  • Ensure correctness of current Standard (STD) costing for new materials codes, as well as the future Standard cost of the entire universe of existing materials.
  • Participate in Budget process of IS03 (Internal Report) (COGS Variances At Standard) and IS12 (Internal Report) (Idle Capacity/Residual Costs by Site) reports.
  • Build a strong relationship with Production and Supply (P&S) LATAM Business Finance Team.
  • Collaborate with other Finance Areas, support internal & external audits.
  • Lead LATAM Crop Protection (CP) Produiction and Supply (P&S) Costing Team, Develop costing knowledge across the team. Lead and support continuous improvement and efficiency in relevant processes.

Qualifications

Required

  • Finance degree. Other degrees may be applicable, like Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in companies in Costing, Finance, P&S Finance, Accounting.
  • Fluent in Spanish & English
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
  • Good communication skills in relation to key stakeholders.
  • Solid knowledge of Production & Supply Financial Framework.
  • Ability to work under pressure while keeping high quality of output.
  • Ability to communicate financial information to a finance or P&S audience.
  • Analytic skill, dynamic, proactive, team working, organized and attentive to deadlines

Desired

  • Relevant experience in Leading People
  • SAC Experience (Power BI or Tableau valued)
  • SAP Domand
  • Good understanding of business end-to-end processes and internal controls necessary to safeguard the Company’s assets
  • Ability to effectively work in a cross-functional matrix organization and a ability to influence and challenge others outside of the job’s direct span of control
  • Ability to effectively manage ambiguity in a fast-changing environment
  • Portuguese domain
