Jr Chemist

Role Purpose:

• Carry out project execution based on the planning from team leader
• Always maintain and upkeep the working area
• Adhere to all safety norms and ways of working required to carry out the projects in safe manner in kilo lab.
• Should be able to correlate technical knowledge with his ongoing projects thus bringing value addition to the projects, such as monitoring of reactions, analysis of products and impurities along with the support of team leader and analytical team.
• Able to plan work on a weekly basis at the beginning to managing a full project within 1 year of joining.
• Should be able to document practical work in a legible manner and use all tools provided the organization in upkeep of documents.
• Communicate openly with his superiors and at peer level.
• Should be willing to adapt and learn new ways of working

Accountabilities:

• Accountable for the delivery project execution based on the planning from team leader
• Accountable for the documentation of the practical work and the project related activity as per Syngenta requirements.
• Accountable for the communicating challenges and support needed for the projects to the line manager in the project execution phase
• Accountable for cleanliness and safety of the lab and office area assigned to the person.

Qualifications:

• M. Sc. in Chemistry, preferentially in organic chemistry or PhD with no industrial experience.

Critical Knowledge Experience and Capabilities:

• 2-3 years industrial experience for M. Sc. and no experience for fresh PhD..
