Role purpose:

  • This role will be part of the Global Syngenta Group Internal Communications team
  • This is a key role in supporting and delivering the organization’s internal communications operations and programs

 Accountabilities

 Communications projects, content creation and coordination

  • Overall operations communications support to the global Syngenta Group internal communications team
  • Provide project management support
  • Actively contribute to new creative engagement ideas
  • Develop content for a variety of communication channels, including intranet, newsletters, video, infographics, Yammer etc. – liaising with the creative team in Pune as appropriate
  • Develop and maintain team SharePoint / teams / documentation for functional excellence
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Group and Business Unit teams worldwide
  • Manage translation process for key global communications (e.g. financial results)
  • Support global virtual events, webinar set-up and hosting

Communications channels, content and metrics

  • Upload content to intranet and distribute communications for a variety of communication projects and campaigns e.g. quarterly results communication, news articles, announcements and other internal communication campaigns
  • Support the management of communications channels, including providing metrics to enable the team to deliver effective and compelling content and measure impact.
  • Collation of analytical data for global communication projects and channels on a monthly basis i.e. dashboards, metrics, etc.
  • Participate in channel develop projects, including for mySyngenta
  • Manage the relationship with providers for subscriptions for communications tools (e.g. Staffbase etc.)

  • Ability to build relationships with communicators and other stakeholders in different parts of the organization globally
  • Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information
  • Ability to work in a team environment across business areas and in a virtual team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Experience required for the job

  • Experience in communications projects
  • Experience in written communications with a proven track record
  • Good working knowledge of content management systems (SharePoint), web analytics and other common digital/online resources
  • Awareness of agriculture business and matrix organizational knowledge a plus

Minimum education and critical knowledge required for the job

  • Minimum B.A. degree in communications or related field with a minimum of 3 years corporate communications or internal communications experience, ideally within a global environment
  • Good understanding of the Global Communication environment – being able to work in a cross-cultural team
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams to ensure that messages remain consistent throughout the organization
  • Understanding of Communication tools analysis and metrics
  • Superior oral and written communications skills in English
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
  • Proactive and reactive and work under pressure to short deadlines
  • Co-operative team player
  • Must be fully competent in Microsoft suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Forms, Outlook)

Experience to be gained in the job

  • Project management skills
  • Business, organizational, and stakeholder engagement experience
  • Ability to build good relationships at different, intercultural levels
  • Work independently within an international environment
  • Ability to communicate and interact within diverse environments (e.g. leaders, employees, influencers, customers, farmers, community, etc...)
