Role Purpose

  • Provide leadership and commercial strategic direction in Services in the North West Europe
  • Drive the design and roll out of Commercial services offers in a way that a) resonates with customers and creates strong value to them (Channel, Growers, 3rd parties…), b) focused on creating services revenue, independent from SYT product sales c) ensures positive ROI on the investment into services development
  • Become the reliable ‘commercial offer’ leader to drive the creation of independent services organization that would generate product agnostic revenue on one hand, but work closely within the BA/BU to assist with Product sales where it makes sense 

Accountabilities

  • Strategic and Commercial Leadership: Own and drive the regional Services commercial strategy to enable go to market success with our services (precision, sustainability, digital agriculture technology, etc.)
  • Customer needs & competition: Understand grower needs that can be further addressed by services creating value for growers and being able to capture this value via revenue stream for Syngenta.
  • Scope: the scope includes but not limited to: digital ag services, contract spray services, Outcome based offers, precision application services, soil and carbon offers, etc.
  • Drive the scale up of prioritised services leveraging “Breakthrough”/agile methodology to identify, test and scale solutions.
  • Develop and implement the Services TOM that aligns with the maturity of the Service organisation for compliance, operational effectiveness and alignment with BA/BU and above BU touchpoints.
  • Identify and enable strategic partnerships for 3rd party service offers or strategic collaborations.

Qualifications

Capabilities

  • Proven track record and experience in in leading new Services and or Functions, identifying and targeting new commercial spaces and opportunities
  • Strong Commercial/Sales and Business development background, including a demonstration of strong execution in commercial roles
  • Strong leadership capabilities able to engage with various stakeholders at different seniority levels to get the projects done, ability to create, lead and inspire service team
  • Understanding how different digital technologies work, including benefits & drawbacks
  • Doing economic analyses on the digital service use for the determination of grower added value, market potential and SYT business case
  • Collaborating with external parties (growers, applicators, consultants) and colleagues from various functions to support overall accountabilities
  • Structuring and summarizing data & insights, drawing conclusions and presenting convincingly
  • Experience in Project management/ transformation projects
