Job description

Manage and ensure the efficient, secure, and stable operation of the organization’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud services, security, technical support, and business continuity.

Deliver tangible improvements to IT Services and business outcomes in partnership with the BR IT and Global IT Infrastructure teams and business leaders.

 

Role purpose

The IT Infrastructure Lead BR is responsible for the delivery of all Syngenta integrated end-to-end Corporate Infrastructure / IT services in the region for both CP and SE businesses:

 

  • IT Services and delivery management
  • Local Technology and infrastructure management
  • Network services
  • Service Desk
  • Deskside support
  • Service Request Management
  • Client Service Management
  • IT contract management / SOW
  • Security Management
  • Service Level Management SLA/OLA
  • IT Operations
  • Service continuity management
  • Disaster recovery plan management
  • Service catalog management
  • Budget of the area
  • Implementation of Enterprise General Computer Controls (EGCCs) for IT Applications and Infrastructure

 

This includes deployed teams ensuring control and delivery of integrated services and support of Brazil CP/SE territory applications.

 

 

  • Lead the Corporate / IT Infrastructure function for a set of services as the most experienced technical professional
  • Monitor and feedback on the effectiveness of global Corporate IT Services meeting Brazil territory business needs
  • Work with IT procurement to balance price and value delivery of requests to suppliers
  • Ensure effective coordination of effort across the Syngenta IT landscape, working closely with the global Infrastructure domains to support integrated planning, solution delivery and incident management
  • Own and develop an infrastructure roadmap in close collaboration with the Global IT infrastructure team that brings continuous improvement in experience for colleagues across the region and supports the strategy of our businesses
  • Lead a team to focus on continuously improving services across all sites that they support both of services they personally deliver and of those services delivered by external contractors and 3rd party suppliers and regardless of whether they are directly accountable for the service
  • Looking across sites and businesses identifying and connecting opportunities across Brazil sites, develop and share technology solutions
  • Collaborating with Brazil business teams in their use of technology to make core business more productive, solve problems and enable new opportunities
  • Proactively managing applications across the territory and continuously looking for opportunities to simplify and consolidate the number of applications owned and used within Brazil
  • Be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with local business teams, ensuring roadmaps and services are regularly reviewed in collaboration with them and continuously adjusted to meet their needs whilst balancing the needs of the Global IT organization
  • Responsible for delivery of IT services to clients on to the given geography
  • Acts as the primary contact, “the face of IT” for Infrastructure topics
  • Keeps contact with local suppliers of IT Services for already implemented services
  • Leads and manages local IT projects, supports regional and global projects
  • Provides hands-on support to resolve IT issues as required
  • Supports ad-hoc service requests as required
  • Delivers continuous improvement of IT Services to support business initiatives and to improve the quality of the IS services delivered
  • Ensures compliance with Syngenta IT Standards and policies
  • Prepares and issues communication to all stakeholders of local issues and changes
  • Manages escalations as required

Qualifications

  • IT University degree. MBA (desirable)
  • Advanced level of English
  • IT experience
  • Experience in Managerial positions with people in charge
  • Proven track record of driving and delivering initiatives.
  • Proven experience on infrastructure move
  • Experience of leading multi-national teams and working across countries and cultures in order to achieve solutions  
  • Proven experience managing hybrid environments (on-premise and cloud).
  • Track record of leading technical teams and strategic transformation initiatives.

  • Technical knowledge of IT infrastructure and end user computing technology
  • Experience in working in a technical IT role and supporting IT projects
  • Experience in dealing with customers/clients
  • Experience in establishing and developing relationships within IT and with vendors
