Job description

  1. Lead strategy definition and execution for Soybean and Corn business models to support and foster barter operations with Nutrade and strategic partners
  2. Develop and manage relationship with tradings and offtakers and set meaningful partnership agreements
  3. Ensure competitive, yet protective, pricing for soybean and corn origination for Nutrade as a leverage tool of barter sales
  4. Ensure robust end to end process, ways of working and formalization of the whole crop execution
  5. Own the grain business P&L delivery
  6. Support and guide origination, logistic and backoffice teams
  7. Actively support Crop Protection sales campaigns related to grains barter value proposition design and implementation
  8. Actively manage grains exposure, within approved risk limits

 

  • Develop and structure barter business models for soybeans and corn.
  • Build and develop relationship with tradings and offtakers and set meaningful partnership agreements.
  • Provide competitive, yet protective, pricing for soybean and corn origination for Nutrade as a leverage tool of barter sales
  • Overlook all soybean and corn business acting on conflict and inefficiencies and leading continuous improvement in the external and internal process, ways of working and quality of agreements
  • Ensure proper formalization of commercial agreements and contracts evolving grains
  • Own the soybean business P&L delivery
  • Provide guidance and support for the barter field team to perform origination and to settle local back to back transactions
  • Perform Nutrade grains sales, ensuring P&L defense and quality of partner choice for proper execution
  • Support origination, logistics, back office and finance team to settle end to end grains deals
  • Engage with external players to develop and execute financing schemes related to grains contracts
  • Act as escalation point for conflict resolution with external partners   
  • Support soybean and corn barter campaigns development, launch and execution
  • Engage with fiscal team and ensure proper alignment and application of tax implications to all grains transactions
  • Contribute in the definition and implementation of CP barter sales campaigns related to Soybean and Corn
  • Provide grains scenarios intelligence to support origination and CP barter sales

Qualifications

  • Degree in business, engineering or similar areas
  • Robust knowledge of Brazilian grains commercialization and exports landscape
  • Experience in Soybean and Corn trading activities

Technical Skills:

  • Deep expertise in agricultural commodities market (soybeans and corn)
  • Strong knowledge of barter operation and business models
  • Advanced financial analysis and P&L management skills and understanding of commercial contracts
  • Deep understanding of tax implications for grain transactions

  • Business fluency in English and Portuguese
  • High-level commercial negotiation expertise, with business modeling and strategic planning abilities
  • Advanced stakeholder management and strong analytical and quantitative skills
