Key Responsibilities
Develop Best Practices and implementation Plan for Planning , Scheduling and delivering
Design operational planning best practices for plant breeding activities, including but not limited to sowing, pollination, harvesting, and data collection.
- Develop best practice process, tools and organization to ensure maintenance of accurate records of breeding activities, inventory, and resource usage.
- Develop processes that allow ops planning as the primary point of contact for operational matters within the breeding program.
- Design and implement tiered accountability metrics & meetings to review progress, address challenges, and plan future activities.
- Ensure that all breeding operations comply with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and ethical guidelines.
- Anticipate operational issues and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks.
- Address and resolve any operational challenges that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to breeding activities.

This position can also be located in Malta, IL or Slater, IA.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Production Operations Management, Engineering, Statistics, Agriculture, Plant Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in operational planning, preferably in the agricultural or plant breeding sector.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.
- Proficiency in data management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of plant breeding processes and agricultural practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
