Job description

As our Global Crop Quality Improvement Lead, you will:

  • Create and implement a comprehensive crop quality strategy for Leafy, Brassica and Okra
  • Be responsible for maintaining a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement within the crop’s end-to-end processes from Research & Development to Marketing & Sales
  • Cooperate with the network of regional QA leads for effective deployment of the Quality Management System
  • Act as the main quality contact point for your crops, representing Quality Assurance in case of customer complaints
  • Monitor and evaluate quality performance, measure progress through KPI’s
  • Drive standardization of crop quality parameters and test methods across global operations
  • Lead major quality improvement projects and manage a diverse project portfolio
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize improvement initiatives
  • Analyze and report on crop quality performance to key stakeholders
  • Ensure quality control standards and processing activities meet and exceed customer expectations
  • Drive innovation and best practices across our global quality improvement initiatives
  • Influence and shape the future of crop quality standards in the industry

Syngenta Vegetable Seeds is looking for a passionate professional for a full-time position of Global Crop Quality Improvement Lead.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in fields like plant science, quality assurance, quality control
  • 5+ years of experience in Vegetable Seeds Quality Control or Processing
  • Deep understanding of seed physiology, pathology, conditioning, enhancement, treatment, and production
  • Experience in supply chain operations and planning
  • Fluent English; Dutch language knowledge is desirable
  • Strong (international) stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills across all levels
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking & guidance with operational implementation
  • Results-oriented mindset with a customer-focused approach
