We have an excellent opportunity in Grangemouth for an GFP (Grangemouth Fill & Pack) Shift lead to lead, manage and develop a team of manufacturing technicians. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
- Delivering the production plan in compliance with site, company and regulatory requirements, e.g. SI’s, HSE policy and standards, COMAH (Health and Safety Executive) and PPC (SEPA) etc.
- Manage, coach and develop Manufacturing technicians (production operators) in the safe and efficient filling and packing operation.
- Working closely with the Manufacturing Technicians, problem solve to minimise downtime, optimize and continuously improve production processes using continuous improvement methodology.
- Act as a mentor and coach to ensure the correct course of action and solutions are implemented.
Qualifications and required experience
- Detailed knowledge of key manufacturing and / or engineering procedures.
- Demonstrates a steadfast commitment to Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) practices and leads by example in all HSEQ-related matters
- Previous operational experience in a manufacturing environment in a relevant sector (Chemicals manufacturing, FMCG etc).
- Preferred management experience and proven development of reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to motivate others.

Syngenta's Grangemouth Manufacturing Centre is one of our two award-winning manufacturing sites in the UK. The site was founded in 1919 and today employs nearly 400 skilled people in a variety of roles that include manufacturing, engineering, scientific and production support. Our goal is to operate “safely, reliably and cost effectively” and to help growers protect their crops and increase their yield.
At Syngenta Grangemouth we have four plants dedicated to active ingredient (AI) manufacture, and one finished product formulation and packaging plant with the most recent facility opening in May 2010.
