Job description

You will be part of our Financial Compliance team and will support the area, through the values Passion for Customers, How matters and Determined Execution, you will live and experience more of this position. Here is how this role will be critical to our business:

Purpose & Accountability:

  • Typically performs specialized duties in a defined functional program area involving a wide variety of problems, performs standard and non-standard assignments.
  • Is an expert source of information on processing transactions.

Business impact:

  • Eliminates significant inefficiencies by changing process steps.
  • Central address for all questions of operative process performance and quality. 

Responsibilities:

  • Typically supervises non-professionals who perform routine tasks or provides informal and/or formal guidance, training, and support to other team members.
  • Requires developed specialized skills, or a breadth of skills, through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience.
  • Often inputs to development of new procedures / standards subject to approval from manager
  • Requires in-depth knowledge and experience to respond to non-routine situations, with consideration of short term consequences.
  • Requires formal qualification/vocational training.
  • Completes work with a limited degree of supervision or works autonomously.
  • Has developed deep skills through vocational training and work experience in a distinct area and range of processes, procedures and systems to carry out assigned tasks.
  • Mainly works autonomously within established procedures and practices.
  • Often solves complex and varied problems of recurring nature with a limited degree of supervision.
  • Has limited discretion to vary from established procedures.
  • Has limited work experience involving basic concepts and procedures.
  • Typically no supervisory responsibility but guides and supports junior team members, may assist in their formal orientation and training.

Qualifications

It is indispensable for this position:

  • Accounting / Finance Bachelor’s degree or advanced student.
  • 2-3 years of accounting, audit or controls testing experience (mandatory).
  • Advanced English (mandatory).
  • Understanding of financial compliance and internal controls concepts.
  • Understanding of control documentation requirements and how it is implemented / sustained.
  • Knowledge of internal controls, business process best practices within agrochemicals/manufacturing environment, and auditing techniques.
  • Mainly works under limited supervision.
  • SAP or Equivalent ERP hands on Knowledge (desirable)
  • Basic knowledge of IFRS.
  • Understanding in the design, implementation and monitoring of internal controls, risk libraries and compliance process management.
  • Ability to handle multiple and shifting priorities without losing focus if necessary.
  • Ability to communicate complicated issues in an easy to understand and concise method.
  • Self-starter, positive attitude, high-energy, motivated, enthusiastic with an outgoing, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to drive changes and implementation of processes and standards.
  • Personal computer skills are required and advanced skills with excel, word and access is desirable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and Influencing skills.
  • Attention to detail, results-oriented, work ethic and teamwork.
