Job description

Role Purpose 
•To provide an effective support service to the SAF Brassica seed production team at Lutzville SAF

Accountabilities
•Representation of Syngenta work ethics
•Equipment maintenance i.e.Threshers, Planters, Ghrops, Lettuce Harvester and Trailers
•Stock/equipment - control management
•Sowing of stock seeds for field productions
•Setup and control of transplanting equipment, during transplanting season
•Ensure plant health through spraying, rogue and cutting of flower heads and field trails
•Seed production seed intake management/control
•Management of pre-cleaning the produced seeds
•Taking of representative seed samples from all batches
•Packaging of seeds for export
•Cleaning of production facilities

Qualifications

Qualifications, experience & capabilities
•Minimum Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
•Teamwork and working with clients
•5 years experience in Agriculture related work environment
•Basic knowledge of operating seed cleaning equipment or Agriculture equipment
•Basic knowledge of responsible Agricultural chemical use
•Basic vegetable seed crop & production knowledge
•Forklift maintenance and handling experience
