Role Purpose:

  • To lead the site resources and continuously improve the capabilities, processes, and assets to meet the business needs in terms of HSEQ, customer response, cost and efficiency and full compliance with internal and external standards and legislation.
  • To provide leadership to the site community and drive the implementation of a site-wide strategy

Accountabilities:

  • Autonomous Leadership of FF&P Site in line with Syngenta culture and P&S strategy.
  • Manage the fixed, variable, and capital cost performance in line with agreed budgets and targets.
  • Ensure full compliance against all Syngenta standards and local legislation. Ensure all HSE, Quality, Legal and fiscal standards are continuously improved and monitored, that risks are controlled and minimized, complaints are investigated, and improvement actions are implemented.
  • Ensure high levels of customer service and responsiveness in line with Syngenta's strategy for all products supplied in all markets
  • Identify, motivate and coach key resources to drive and deliver improvement projects, product establishments or performance improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the CPFF&P strategy and support implementation through proactive participation in the Site Management Leadership team
  • Promote a positive image of Syngenta, representing the Company with government representatives, NGOs, academia, industrial associations and the local community
  • Lead the site team towards success delivery of business demand
  • Ensure continuous people development & succession plan is in place

  • Strategic view and plan for site in alignment to P&S and FF&P strategy (inevitable site transformation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Science, or Management discipline
  • Leadership awareness, identification and application
  • Supply chain operations, network/ asset strategy
  • Organizational management systems i.e. Production MS, HSE-MS, Q-MS, EMPS, Operation Excellence
  • Business acumen & Finance (manufacturing scope) costing
  • Strategic planning & execution  

Capabilities:

  • Business acumen, analytical thinking & able to articulate & present ideas clearly.
  • Strong influencing skills & ability to flex style appropriately to different situations.
  • Active listening & interpret stakeholders needs and translate into effective site operation strategies to deliver business values.
  • Understands budgetary & financial management processes
  • Knows how to embed & maintain stakeholder relationship management strategies to position the company and site as a preferred client & deliver optimal assurance of Supply, Quality, Service, Cost & Innovation.
  • Maintains awareness of global, regional, local industry & economic developments that affect business and site operations
  • Understands and applies individual & team leadership and development processes.
  • Proactively drive desires to progress upwards within business & take on more responsibility & challenges.
  • Coach & train site employees and stakeholders as required
  • Effective communication across site functions, cross functional stakeholders and operation partners i.e. customers, contractors, government authorities etc.
  • Strong drive in project management, execution & delivery.
  • Creative & critical thinking in leading team for solutions & improvements.
