We are seeking a Service Delivery Manager (Facility Operations Manager) to support our R&D offices across North America under Syngenta Group Facilities Management.

As the Service Delivery Manager, you’ll be accountable for monitoring and maintaining the delivery of services by Group Facilities Management (GFM) suppliers at a site level according to agreed standards for Facilities Management. You will manage the activities and services provided to the sites by GFM business partners and FM suppliers.

You will implement the facilities strategy working with the Senior Service Delivery Manager and/or Regional Lead and GFM supplier that creates an environment where Syngenta employees can contribute to their highest potential, delivering innovative contributions to the business in a safe, efficient, and most effective way. Work with GFM suppliers in a business partner relationship to continuously identify improvements to the service provided and areas where savings are made without reducing service quality. You will act as a member of the Site Leadership team, where relevant, and take responsibility for site morale and communications as required.

Nampa, Idaho is the preferred location since we have two sites there for our Flowers & Vegetables division; 15% travel is required to sites in Woodland, CA, Gilroy, CA, and Naples, FL. If working remotely from home elsewhere, you must be willing to travel closer to 25% of the time.

Duties:

  • Manage the Facilities Management contract at a sites-level and oversee all required services are delivered to specification (security, engineering maintenance, cleaning, catering heating, lighting, and Real Estate).
  • Liaise with GFM supplier organization, business partners, key internal stakeholders, and external contacts to support the smooth delivery of the local operations; act as the first escalation point for any issues.
  • Responsible for preparing the site budgets with GFM Head(s), GFM Finance, and GFM supplier; monitor spending and accruals.
  • Gather and collate site data on the KPIs and SLAs; communicate results to the relevant parties.
  • Act as the first point of contact for Syngenta employees, GFM supplier, and external contractors not delivering services performed by the GFM partners on site; ensure that all site activities meet all internal and external legal, HSE, Letter of Assurance, fiscal, and compliance requirements and that all corporate standards are understood and implemented appropriately; report any gaps; work closely with relevant subject matter experts to ensure that service delivery protocols for sites and equipment are in line with Syngenta and Legislative Requirements.
  • Drive operational excellence and productivity improvement in the local site management in conjunction with Functional Business Partners and GFM supplier.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in building or facilities management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Agriculture, a related field, or additional related experience with GED/HS Diploma.
  • Project management skills and experience with budget oversight; experience in influencing change without direct authority.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Excel (e.g. pivot tables).
  • Strong interpersonal communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred:

  • Facilities management experience with R&D, greenhouse, and/or plant growing environments is strongly preferred.
  • Drive, energy, and passion to advance Syngenta’s mission.
