The Export Team Lead is responsible for working with customers in Latin American countries and ensuring compliance with all US Government export laws and documentation requirements, as well as coordinating with external 4PL and internal global export operations.

The Export Team Lead audits export related activities and leads continuous improvement efforts. Specific job duties include the following:

  1. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (lead broker, 4PL, customs).
  2. Conduct audits of export processes and records ensuring accurate and complete record keeping.
  3. Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs), ensure forecasting.
  4. Provide training to personnel on export related topics.
  5. Lead continuous improvement efforts.
  6. Ensure accurate export data in computer systems using SAP and GT Nexus.
  7. Update Syngenta teams on legislation changes impacting exports and communicate risks to management.

Domestic and international travel required up to 25% of time. Position based at company headquarters in Greensboro, NC; position includes a telecommute benefit within commuting distance of this office.


Qualifications

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Logistics or a related field and 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) global import/export experience.

Must also have 36 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following:

  1. Executing operational tasks and accountabilities with 4PL partner(s).
  2. Monitoring and reporting key performance indicators.
  3. Ensuring accurate export data in computer systems using SAP and GT Nexus.
  4. Managing external logistics service providers.
  5. Leading continuous improvement initiatives.
  6. Experience working with Latin American countries on either imports or exports.

All experience may be gained concurrently. Must pass a background check and drug test before beginning employment. Domestic and international travel required up to 25% of time.

Position based at company headquarters in Greensboro, NC; position includes a telecommute benefit within commuting distance of this office.
