Role Purpose:

We are currently looking for an Environmental Data Manager. In this role, you will manage the Syngenta Environmental Reporting and Management (SERAM) process within the global information technology platform owned by the Syngenta Group HSE team.  You will be responsible for managing environmental and sustainability (E&S) data to support Syngenta Group ESG reporting and business needs, and developing analytical tools to support wider and more effective use of environmental data.

Your responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the operational activities relating to the annual SERAM process using the Syngenta E&S solution in the Enablon Metrics module.  This includes creating, testing, launching and updating campaigns, providing training and issuing related communications.
  • Act as a central point of contact for operational matters relating to SERAM, engaging with Subject Matter Experts, the user community, platform support team and other stakeholders.
  • Support the maintenance and update of master data, permissions and configuration for the Enablon E&S solution.
  • Support internal and external audit and assessment of the SERAM data in line with Syngenta’s reporting processes.
  • Develop and maintain tools to support the collection, assessment and use of environmental data
  • Support the use of SERAM data and conduct analysis to help leaders understand their organisation’s sustainability performance.  
  • Work closely with project teams and key stakeholders to support the deployment of additional solutions, expansion of the Enablon platform and/ or enhancement existing capabilities and other change delivery activities in line with the agreed Enablon E&S strategic roadmap.

Qualifications

What are we looking for? (Knowledge, experience & capabilities):

  • Proficiency in the Enablon platform (especially Metrics), as well as Smartsheet and PowerBI
  • Understanding of environmental reporting protocols and key indicators.
  • Operational experience managing digital systems, preferably related to environment and sustainability (Scope 1 & 2 reporting).
  • Specific experience managing Enablon (Metrics module) highly desirable.  Equivalent experience on other similar systems will be considered.
  • Experience working with Subject Matter Experts to create engaging and sustainable training materials.
  • Experience working in a large matrixed organisation with multiple stakeholders would be advantageous.
  • Attention to detail, and a systematic and structured way of working are critical.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential.
  • English-speaker mandatory, additional languages advantageous.
  • Project and change management skills and experience highly advantageous.
