At Syngenta, we are working to build the most collaborative and trusted team in agriculture that provides leading seeds and crop protection innovations to help farmers grow their best crop.  We are currently seeking an Enogen Technical Sales Representative for the Seeds Sales team. As an Enogen Technical Sales Representative you will build strong customer relationships and generate interest and demand for Syngenta's proprietary enhanced grain technology (ENOGEN Corn) for the livestock, or related industries. This skilled and dynamic individual will play a significant role in leading growth, ensuring end-user value is realized, and fostering key relationships. 
 
This is a remote position that is ideally based in Manitoba but could be located in Alberta or Saskatchewan.
 
What will you do:

  • Work with retail customers to build enduring customer relationships within beef and dairy livestock market, with a strong focus ensuring end-user value is realized
  • Create awareness of Enogen (supporting demonstration trials, capture experiences, and customer tours), and represent Syngenta/Enogen brand within the industry
  • Analyze market trends and competitive intelligence to identify data-driven growth opportunities, forecast product needs, and achieve annual sales targets
  • Develop, communicate and implement annual business plans with retail accounts, with critical emphasis on operational excellence and stewardship of the Enogen brand.
  • Train and develop retailers to effectively position product to growers in the beef and dairy livestock market leveraging consultative selling techniques and recognized technical expertise within assigned sales territory
  • Act as a steward of the Syngenta Enogen Seed Brand portfolio by making recommendations and by managing complaints/issues in the field as needed, in partnership with the Agronomy team
  • Manage operational budget, variable selling expenses, and marketing funds within Syngenta Seeds Sales Area guidelines.
  • Develop and implement local field marketing plan; deliver and reconcile customer programs or segmented offers
  • Work collaboratively with NK Territory Sales Managers to optimize Syngenta Seed sales and profitability.

Qualifications

Qualifications

You are someone with:

  • Bachelors degree in Agriculture or Science and/or Business
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the Agriculture industry, experience within the seed industry is considered an asset
  • Strong knowledge of the beef and dairy livestock market, specifically nutritional requirements
  • Agronomic knowledge of the crops grown in the geographic area and broad technical knowledge of the company portfolio as well as current and emerging agricultural practices/trends in the seed industry
  • Customer focused mindset; ability to communicate effectively, build strong relationships, and influence customer purchase decisions
  • Business acumen; understanding of financial analysis, marketing principles and best practices, brand strategies development and implementation, project management skills
  • Clear and effective decision-making, with an emphasis on a data-driven approach
  • Must have broad knowledge of product development process, regulatory, and stewardship requirements
