MAKE A DIFFERENCE  

As a Digital Sustainable Farming Solutions Manager, you will be the Co-owner for the development and delivery of sustainable farming/soil health digital products and services for the EAME CP region. This person will be working closely with the Digital & IT Team Lead. Initially, the role will be focused on our high-resolution soil mapping service, Interra Scan. 

It is essential that this person is a self-starter and comfortable working across functions, primarily with Sustainable Farming, Commercial, BUs, and IT & Digital, in service of the regional deployment of our bold move into Soil Health, an integral part of our EAME CP strategy 

A strategic thinker and influencer, this person drives a step-change in how we support growers by developing and promoting the use of digital technology to deliver value on the farm, while at the same time making farming more sustainable, efficient, effective   

Works with stakeholders to refine the requirements when needed, prioritize them, and create a product delivery roadmap working. The role will then work closely with our digital product engineering team and data science to deliver products to customers and back to the business 

The Digital Sustainable Farming Solutions Manager will need to have a technical background and excellent project management skills to ensure we deliver on our vision and successfully steer and control third parties 

Your main accountabilities will be: 

Requirements refinement, prioritization, & delivery:  

  • Ensure that our requirements and crystal clear for our tech lead, developers, and other relevant commercial stakeholders involved 

  • Work closely with the EAME CP Digital & IT team lead to guarantee that our Interra Scan soil nutrition management platform development follows Cropwise architecture & UX/UI recommendations/guidelines, and leverages already-built features/components with the aim of eventually integrating it into the Cropwise suite of digital products 

  • When further clarity is needed, this person needs to interact effectively with our customers/advisors, understand their challenges, and goals; gather valuable insights to support the clarity of user stories 

  • Test key features and UI/UX with end-users using usage observation, wireframes, and interviews 

  • Prioritize our requirement backlog into a logical delivery roadmap enabling quick feedback loops end effective product management of our Interra Scan platform 

  • Support other soil health & regenerative agriculture services developed by the sustainable farming team and that will initially be tested/launched in EAME 

  • Ensure consistency across our soil health & nutrition digital platform as more Sustainable Farming services get tested and launched 

  • Make sure overall project delivery is on budget, on time, and in-full 

Collaboration, teamwork, & stakeholder management: 

  • Ensure close collaboration and coordination with other teams such as Global Digital Product Managers, Computational Agronomy, Product Engineering, Commercial Teams, and 3rd parties 

  • Communicate effectively across multiple time zones. 

  • Collaborate with wider country and regional teams to maintain alignment with commercial objectives 

  • Chair and/or participate in agile meetings when needed (Sprint planning, Daily scrum, retrospective, backlog refinement, etc.) 

  • Clear communication of the product vision/strategy, status, and development timelines to ensure expectations are managed effectively 

  • Regular communication of key successes and challenges with local and regional stakeholders to ensure visibility and to gain support where necessary 

Support sales & marketing activities: 

  • Align product launch activities with marketing activities through the respective go-to-market channel agreed with product leadership and market stakeholders 

  • Identify the key benefits and value of products. This will be used to create and maintain marketing plans and collateral (including web updates, product training materials, and sales training) 

Market knowledge: 

  • Keep up to speed on the digital agriculture landscape both internally and externally, understanding market trends and influencing factors with a keen focus on sustainability developments and policy in the EU 

  • Maintain a working knowledge of key soil health competitors and their digital products, including key value propositions, target audience, and traction 


Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

You will be a great fit if you have: 

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Business Informatics, or another quantitative field or equivalent work experience 

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Project Management, or in an IT/Digital Strategy role 

  • Excellent written and spoken English, other European languages are a plus 

  • Strong knowledge and application of agile development methods, design thinking, and lean experimentation 

  • Experience using JIRA or other similar epic/user story and task management tools 

  • Experience in epic definition, requirements-gathering process, and solution definition 

  • Ability to operate largely independently in a complex matrix organization 

  • Outstanding organizational & time management skills; able to juggle multiple competing priorities 

  • Self-starter and proactive individual with excellent follow-through 

  • Growth mindset and “can do” attitude are key character traits for success in this role 

  • Proven experience working effectively with diverse stakeholders and colleagues 

  • Excellent communication skills: storytelling, structure, conciseness, and clarity  

  • Exceptional problem solving & prioritization skills 

  • Good business acumen and knowledge of agribusiness markets, Crop Protection industry, and its customer needs a big plus
