Digital Agronomy Solutions Manager

We are currently looking for a Digital Agronomy Solutions Manager. 

Role purpose: 
Agronomy Solutions Manager is leading the late stage (6-8) products agronomic positioning projects to maximize the winning chance and yield gain of Syngenta crop portfolio produced by growers. Moreover, he/she collects and generates innovative solutions and concepts which could contribute to higher quality data collection.

Responsibilities: 

•    Delivering crop roadmap of digital platform solutions by calibrating agronomic models for the targeted agronomic variables (variety recommendation, density, nutrition, crop health) or farm production technology advice (hybrid choice, planting time, harvest time)

•    Elevating Business Units technical and digital organizations to better understand the available digital solutions and models

•    Cascading the knowledge of digital technologies, and trialing designs, to stimulate the transformation of the Commercial organization

•    Discovering solutions which advance trials management efficiency, optimizing the trial requirements to minimize country resources; proposing country location targets considering the modelling requirements and align with country resources

•    Aiming for minimal disruption in farm operations and gathering feedback from the trial network customers on future advancements

•    Tracking country budget allocations and collecting final spent values for L1 & L2 trials

•    Promoting the digital platform vision and requirements with the country and regional digital teams

•    Ensuring trainings have been conducted before a key operation – planting, drone flights, spraying, harvest; shadowing team members and supporting the development of the technical teams

•    Ensuring clear communication of all relevant data and reporting to key stakeholders in Business Units and Regional Portfolio, Germplasm Development & Product Placement teams, including peers of other regions

Requirements: 

•    Master’s degree or PhD in agricultural science, biological/mechanics science or similar

•    Minimum 3 years working in product selection, or agriculture digital service development

•    Experience dealing with a matrix environment, ability to influence outside direct team members

•    Experience in practical field trialing on strips or small plots 

•    Familiar with relevant computing (MS-office) and statistical tools 

•    Data-driven decision-making skills, strong in data management and data interpretation

•    Project management skills

•    Driving License (B category)

•    Fluent English
