Role purpose

Digital Agriculture & Transformation Manager is responsible for development and implementation of Digital Agriculture strategy in BU Central Europe. Being in this role you will lead the Digital Transformation agenda, including Digital Agriculture and E-commerce.

Responsibilities/main tasks

  • Drive the implementation and development of Digital Agriculture Services strategy, including development and delivery of Digital Agriculture portfolio
  • Own Digital Agriculture roadmap and develop tools, services and capabilities needed to implement strategy
  • Work with commercial team across Central Europe to establish value capture models for Digital Agriculture tools and services that support the BU strategy
  • Develop strategy and roadmap for e-commerce platform as part of the omni-channel strategy
  • Responsible for understanding current and future Digital Agriculture marketplace and identifying opportunities arising from digitalization with clearly defined benefit for Syngenta organization as well as its customers

Qualifications

 

  • Degree in a field of business, agronomy or similar
  • Strong commercial/sales and business development background, including a demonstration of strong execution in commercial roles
  • +5 years of experience in leading agriculture services functions
  • Experience in project management/transformation projects
  • Deep understanding of digital technology functionalities, including its benefits and drawbacks
  • Ability to conduct economic analyses on the digital service use for the determination of grower added value, market potential and SYT business case
  • Capability to work with in-depth data & insights, draw conclusions and present convincingly
  • Strong leadership capabilities that enable engagement with various stakeholders at different seniority levels; ability to create, lead and inspire service team
  • E-commerce experience would be beneficial
  • Fluent English, any other local European language is a plus
