  • Ownership of data exploration efforts, connecting different data sources and extracting additional value and insights from existing and future data (e.g. trial results, imagery, sensors data).
  • Direct contribution in data analysis and statistics, with ownership of data extraction, processing, analysis reporting and visualization.
  • Contribution to the digital transformation in CPD, exploring new ways of working and new technologies, and innovating data processing, reporting and analytics tools and methodologies.
  • Explore available methods in predictive analytics to create more business value from the available resources.
  • Work in close collaboration with different functions and stakeholders in EAME, other regions and global to meet the requirements for data analysis, machine learning, predictive analytics, BI solutions and data visualization in a cost-effective way.
  • Build and deploy effective automated pipelines to process data from different sources for better time-effective analysis
  • Work with a variety of internal and external data sources, integrating these into analysis, dashboards, and modelling
  • Keep up to date with BI, data analytics and Machine Learning developments and incorporate new methods where possible.
  • Build and maintain advanced data science/predictive modeling, data analysis services, dashboards, and BI solutions for a better, quick, and reliable data-driven decisions
  • Maintain, improve and upscale legacy dashboards and BI tools

Working closely with data engineers, data analysts, data scientists, data quality team, new technologies experts and CPD community to ensure all processes, dashboards and data pipelines are streamlined, reliable and fulfilling end user needs.


Qualifications

  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. in statistics, Applied mathematics, Data Science, Machine Learning, computer sciences, physics, or natural sciences (e.g., biology, chemistry, agronomy)
  • Profound knowledge of data-analytics methods and their application in biology, agronomy, and crop protection.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of Python programming language, ideally with experience in package development.
  • Good knowledge of Big Data technologies and ecosystems
  • Good knowledge of graph databases
  • Good knowledge of NoSQL databases
  • Advanced technical knowledge of managing databases, building data processing pipelines and developing end-to-end BI solutions
  • Advanced knowledge of at least one of the BI tools like Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau or Qlick Sense. Power BI and DAX knowledge will be a plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of Machine/Deep learning algorithms and familiar with the Python libraries to implement them.
  • Agile mindset, with focus on delivery of results in constant contact with stakeholders and end users.
  • Excellent knowledge of database query languages (e.g., SQL).
