ROLE PURPOSE

  • Provide end-to-end data quality control for external trialing activities and all data capture related or other associated activities over the season, ensure continuous data monitoring for completeness, conclusiveness, and for other qualitative measures and KPIs as well such as timely delivery.
  • Support the Crop Protection Development Team by coordinating and implementing Biology activities associated with EAME project development, registration, and launches.
  • Act as technical expert for field trial data systems and processes in service of trial & data quality and in support of the EAME Crop Protection Development Team and CRO teams. Sharing good practice, managing the flow of data, and monitoring its completeness and quality.
  • Drive continuous improvement with a strong focus on trial data quality & project delivery. 
  • Support digital transformation and automation in all areas.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Product Biology Support:

  • Project and resource planning:
    • Provide consistency and quality of data in/from planning tools.
    • Provide analysis and guidance for effective resource allocation.
    • Monitor in-season delivery and quality of trial data.
    • Support Product Biologists in data mining for the EAME results and in preparation of EAME Technical Launches.
    • Providing end-user training for Crop Protection Development community.
  • Biological dossier preparation:
    • Provide data mining for the Biological Assessment Dossier (BAD).
    • Assist Biological Dossier Specialist in BAD compilation.
    • Ensure 2nd level data quality check in accordance with requirements of the Biological Dossier.

Trialing Data Management

  • Trialing data quality & delivery:
    • In-season trial data flow coordination, including publication of protocols and monitoring of data delivery, regularly in the season as the trial progresses and at interim and final report dates. Ensure timely delivery of data to end users.
    • Driving improvements in trial data quality with optimal use of the system possibilities and automation (Study Rulesets, validations, ARM improvements) and active monitoring of data quality and feedback to trialists and CRO.
    • Assessing data quality in trial reports, ensuring completeness & accuracy of data in the course and at the end of the season and thereby improving data quality and productivity in the data-to-dossier process.
    • Managing specific requests and corrections in line with GEP regulations.
  • Trialing and CRO support
    • Sharing good practices and developing guidance documents & training material. Ensure effective data and knowledge sharing using Syngenta tools (BITS, ARM, GDB, and others) by user support and monitoring.
    • Supporting CRO managers, external & internal trialing leads, and trialing teams in trial allocations, progress monitoring, and KPI assessments.
    • Providing end-user training.
    • First-level support for end users, internal and external.
    • Working closely with the PB supports community and New Technology and Data Science Team

Knowledge sharing and continuous improvement:

  • Key user of R&D tools (e.g., Bits suite, GDB, Smartdoc, Veeva, Teamspace, Spotfire)
  • Ensure a good technical information flow within the PB team, CRO team, and other relevant functions within or outside of CPD.
  • Support digital transformation and automation in all areas and building digital automation capability.
  • Be open, and proactively look for best practices and methods that can help improve data collection and quality.

Subject Matter Expert (SME)

  • Collecting and defending EAME needs and requirements for digital initiatives and further development of Syngenta BITS & ARM tools.
  • Working closely with other regions’ CPD representatives within the product team to agree on priorities and adequate development resources allocation, in line with the roadmap and product vision.
  • Rolling out and training of new systems, improvements, and associated ways of working.
  • Influencing cross-product solutions development and collaborating with other BITS products teams to agree on the best options.

Qualifications

Relevant Experience

  • 3+ years R&D/Crop Protection Development experience in agrochemical or related industries.
  • Experience in trialing and field data systems and processes.
  • Strong collaborator working in x-functional teams/projects and remotely across countries.
  • Good level of data literacy.

Education

  • Master's Degree (Agronomy, Crop Science, Biology, Genetics, Chemistry)
  • Broad knowledge of IS Systems (e.g. Windows and other MS Office systems)

Languages

  • English is the working language. Full command.
  • Other languages are desirable.
