As the leader of the CRO Management Team, you will inspire and motivate your team to efficiently and effectively deliver their part of the Global and EAME development program. You'll work with the team to establish streamlined ways of working and effective workload management.

  • You'll have the opportunity to provide longer-term strategic vision and make decisions on how to enhance our CPD trialing capabilities, collaborating closely with CPD country teams to ensure technical excellence and efficient use of development resources.
  • By partnering with the regional Trialing Teams, you'll play a key role in driving continuous improvement in operations, systems, and processes, with a focus on ensuring high trial data quality, timely CRO delivery, and operational excellence. You'll work closely with the BITS Platform team and other CPD functions to achieve these goals.
  • Working closely with Portfolio Management, Procurement, and Finance, you'll help deliver CRO trials in line with business strategy and financial goals.
  • Your ability to create and maintain balanced supply/demand plans for the operational 0-18 months horizon will be critical to ensuring smooth trial operations. You'll anticipate potential supply constraints, develop alternative supply options, and foster proactive cross-functional and cross-geographical communication and collaboration.
  • You'll lead improvement initiatives with CROs and develop new capabilities and capacities to meet future needs and align with CPD strategy.
  • As you create a new CRO compensation scheme, you'll collaborate closely with Procurement to apply state-of-the-art standards in contracting and supplier management, ensuring that we have the best possible relationships with our partners.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree / PhD level (Agronomy, Crop Science, Biology, Genetics, Chemistry)
  • Knowledge of crop agronomy
  • In-depth knowledge of Field Trials processes
  • Understanding of the needs of CROs
  • Good understanding of trial regulations in the different countries (including sample import, notification, GEP/HSE)
  • Dynamic written and oral communicator
  • Creative and enquiring – open to new ideas, sharing knowledge and networking.
  • Well-developed people management and influencing skills to motivate, collaborate and achieve win-win outcomes
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity / complexity / uncertainty / conflict
  • Strong track-record of meeting key targets and deadlines
