  • Lead and manage CPD at Business Area level
  • Execute CPD strategy aligned with other functions
  • Own and drive E2E delivery of CP pipeline in the respective countries
  • Provide technical leadership for the BA internally, drive excellence in technical launch and support, lead technical integration and leverage CP technologies
  • Focus on commercial priorities, understand local customer needs to deliver differentiated product offers
  • Own product launch accountability jointly with marketing
  • Oversee trial program and ensure that requested trial quality delivered
  • Drive projects to ensure delivery on time and within scope, budget and quality limits.
  • Build and deliver professional expertise and support to enable AME CPD to effectively manage and promote all aspects of HSE MS within the countries we operate and then provide assessment to ensure the required standards have been adopted
  • Being the knowledge transfer and training expert for NWA BA CPD

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Own E2E delivery of CP pipeline from early development through to first sales and ensure proper launch and PLCM activities
  • Develop better products that are closer to customer needs, and together with Marketing, intelligently positioned to enable rapid market share gain
  • Lead people management and talent management across CPD functions
  • Connect into business and act as the technical point of contact for Commercial functions and BA LT
  • Understand local market and business of competitors; escalate intelligence to Commercial Unit, Region and Global
  • Plan and deliver efficient trialing aligned with CPD (regional and) Commercial Unit priorities
  • Maintain quality standards and improve productivity in CP pipeline delivery and set/track KPIs
  • Lead CPD organization to ensure motivation, engagement and customer proximity
  • Ensure conformity to Syngenta processes, compliance and functional excellence
  • Provide technical expertise and network required to drive successful pipeline of holistic and sustainable offers
    • Translate results into technical profile for product/grower offer
    • Identify technical portfolio gaps and define the technical profile of potential options
    • Provide technical insights on current and future grower needs, competitive products, Syngenta portfolio competitiveness
    • Anticipate the impact of regulatory restrictions on product performance and reflect impact in technical positioning in a timely manner
    • Ensure LTO/Stewardship/product sustainability is an integral part of product development and positioning
    • Support key accounts and distribution channel partners with technical know-how. 
    • Actively support TLP’s (Technical Launch Plans) across BA to deliver a robust technical profile and coordinate stakeholder support
    • Federate CU /BA CPD teams to develop a common AI / product expertise
    • Act as the technical expert and point of contact for the BA organization to ensure consistent flow of technical information from development to commercial
  • Ensure the CPD technical program/project delivered
    • Track & drive development of CPD projects. Execute trialing program (from development stage through localization, registration to demo trial activities, competitor monitoring and field crop demo trials) aligned with commercial/marketing during TRM and CU PT meetings to support SYT business ambitions
    • Manage and ensure the needed protocols for the respective BA trialing program are in place, allocate the trials, coordinate and execute the field work for on time delivery and trial quality performance.
    • Drive and ensure all CPD trialing (development, localization, demo, registration) KPIs (as defined by AME CPD) delivered on time and quality.
    • Coordinate and follow-up of external trials with CROs. 
    • Manage and coordinate proper planning and result meetings, trainings and further customer events.
  • Organize and create training documents for both the BA CPD community and BA commercial colleagues
  • Coordinate and run technical training to maintain knowledge transfer within the CPD organization

Qualifications

    NOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & CAPABILITIES

    Critical experience and knowledge

    • Long-term (5+ years) CP development experience (Biology, Chemistry, Agronomy, Crop Science, Genetics), BSC/MSC level
    • Bilingual. English is the working language; French is a must in this geography.
    • Comprehensive industry/business knowledge
    • Building strong relationships with multiple touch-points (marketing, portfolio, commercial)
    • Cross technologies interaction

    • Good agronomical background
    • Solid crop management knowledge
