Role purpose:

  • This role will be part of the Global Shared Services (GSS) Internal Communications team and support in coordinating and delivering the organization’s internal communications programs and activities in Pune Center
  • This role will also support the implementation of strategic internal communications and employee engagement initiatives within Pune Center
  • Act as a liaison with functional and cross-functional groups to ensure alignment along with effective & efficient implementation
  • Execute ongoing communications and employee engagement initiatives across the center. These include but are not limited to articles, e-newsletters, presentations, talking points, slides, collateral material, e-mails, conferences and town halls. 

Accountabilities

 

  • Coordinate and implement the Pune Center internal communications plan and content development
  • Establish strong working relationships with Pune Center colleagues to ensure successful local implementation of the communications strategy
  • Build engaging communications approaches to launch and promote new services and initiatives
  • Support the implementation of programs and processes that help leaders engage their teams and build two-way dialogue
  • Develop appropriate internal communications channels and ensure delivery of timely communications (leadership messages, news stories, etc.)

Qualifications

Qualifications

Knowledge, experience & capabilities

Critical skills, knowledge and experience

  • Qualifications in Communications or related field
  • 2-3 years’ experience working in internal communications or corporate communications field
  • Good knowledge of communications planning and implementation approaches, principles and practices. (Messages, tactics, resources, etc.)
  • Ability to bring ideas and solutions to the table and be quick on their feet
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams to ensure that messages remain consistent throughout the organization
  • Fairly good knowledge of graphic design skills and use of graphic designing software (PowerPoint, Canva etc.)
  • Basic knowledge and experience in video editing tools (Camtasia, Biteable etc.)
  • Exceptional content writing skills for a variety of communication channels including intranet, newsletters, storyboard, video, Yammer etc.
  • An eye of for detail and creativity
  • Ability to work in a team environment across business areas and often in a virtual team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 

Preferred experience and capabilities

  • Experience in communications with a proven track record of functional communication, preferably with experience in a Shared Services function in another organization
  • Experience in developing effective ways to engage large organizations in organizational transformation/ change scenarios highly preferred
  • Awareness of IT, Finance and HR Services and organizational knowledge a plus

Critical skills:

  • Superior oral and written communications skills in English
  • Ability to build relationships with leaders/managers
  • Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

 

Soft skills:

  • Good team player, interpersonal skills. Attention to detail; ability to find win-win solutions; flexibility in a fast-paced organization; ability to frequently measure the effectiveness of ongoing programs and adapt accordingly.
