Reporting to the Head of APAC, Flowers the Business Manager will develop and implement market plans to achieve growth and business objectives, working collaboratively with key channel customers. You would utilise your business skills to build key accounts through planning; execute promotional and marketing plans and being the champion for the Syngenta Flowers business across Australia and New Zealand.

The key deliverable of this role is to manage the Flowers growth by maximising the profitability of the product portfolio. In achieving the targets for the business, the role is accountable for providing support and input to the marketing and promotional programs, market intelligence and trends, product development needs and product support.

The applicant should be commercially oriented and possess strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. We are looking for a person who enjoys working in a team and is able to work autonomously, is self-motivated and a strategic thinker. Willing to travel extensively, including local overnight and international trips to meet with customers and to host key accounts at company trials sites


Qualifications

To be successful in this position it is ideal for the applicant to have qualifications in agricultural science or horticulture with approximately 5 years’ experience in sales/marketing and business to business partnerships. It would be desirable to have knowledge of Flowers or to have worked in the nursery industry or related experience.

Syngenta offers attractive remuneration packages including, superannuation, bonus and flexible working arrangements.  This position can be based in Melbourne or Sydney, it’s an opportunity to work with a highly professional and focused team.
