Independently initiate and execute commercial planning process. Collects compiles and updates market information through research, networking within and outside organization. Manages data bank and provide analysis on key market drivers to key stakeholders in the organization to enable them to make informed business decisions.

Responsible for defining project goals, planning, coordinating with MR agencies and administering market research projects. Also responsible for the implementation and support of business information systems across multiple departments. Identify problems and opportunities in business and ultimately provide solutions that help to achieve the business objectives

Accountabilities:

  • Understand market and grower needs / establish insights through market visits, customer contact and market research.
  • Effectively coordinate with MR agencies to conduct FGDs, farmer interviews (F2F or telecalling), Mystery Shopping and impact studies. Capability to execute in-house research and analysis. 
  • Ensure updated database of competitors including customs data, sales data, product literature, promotional activities and MR results analysis.
  • Collect data on consumers, competitors and market place and consolidate information into actionable items, reports and presentations
  • Understand business objectives and design surveys to discover prospective customers’ preferences
  • Compile and analyze statistical data and interpret data, formulate reports and make recommendations
  • Perform valid and reliable market research SWOT analysis
  • Provide competitive analysis on market trends, pricing, import data and sales

Qualifications

  • Candidate have 4+ Years of experience & knowledge of marketing research tools and techniques; Analytical software knowledge
  • Ability to design research methods such as interviews and questionnaires
  • Crop Protection knowledge; Grower insights; Pest spectrum related to crops.
  • Competitor intelligence, Budgeting and forecasting
  • Proven Market Research Analysis experience
  • Ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent knowledge of statistical software, databases and MS Office
  • Adequate knowledge of data collection methods (IDIs, polls, focus groups, surveys etc)
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking
  • Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques
  • MBA from a reputable organization
