Purpose:

  • To lead a team of Global AI Planners organized by Product Lines (~ 6 to 8 FTEs).
  • To plan an AI Portfolio to support the asset needs of the business by maintaining the overall AI supply & demand plan across specified active ingredient families (AI and intermediates), providing options to meet commercial upsides and downsides.
  • To manage the planning activities within the product lines and contribute to the AI Planning Governance, KPIs and processes (AI status, allocation, inventory management).
  • Key contacts include Global and Regional Planning teams, Supply Chain team core members, Production teams and management and other Product Line Team Leads.
  • Permanent member of the Global AI Planning Leadership Team.

 

Your responsibilities:

Team Management

  • Line Management:  To set annual objectives, track and assess performance ensuring deliverables from direct reports meet business requirements.
  • Personal Development: To agree and implement plans for capability development to maximize the contribution from each team member.
  • Coaching: To support AI Planners in decision making.
  • Recruitment: Responsible for the recruitment of the new team members with the support of HR.

AI Planning

  • Manage the overall supply/demand balance for the respective portfolio by reviewing the sales forecast, Active Ingredients (AI) net demands, and creating balanced production/purchase plans for the planning horizon.
  • Proactively identify demand uncertainties and future supply constraints to develop options/scenarios, ensuring that future supply plans are optimized.
  • Provide operational coordination across the end-to-end supply chain to achieve the right balance between inventory and customer service levels.
  • Utilize financial metrics to optimize cash management when managing trade-offs between inventory, production, purchases, and logistics decisions.
  • Actively contribute to and coordinate execution of supply chain (re)design activities in close cooperation with the supply chain teams.

Planning Coordination

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with the other AI Product line teams, regional planning teams and Global Supply Chain Management.
  • Participate in AI Planning Governance by supporting the Global AI Planning.
  • Be accountable for Inventory Management for the designated product line by driving acceptance of standard tools and practices for projecting inventory.

 


Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, economics, or sciences.
  • 5+ years working experience in Supply Chain (Planning, Toll manufacturing…).
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization.
  • MRP II concepts and tools (SAP, APO, EDWH…)
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain operations in regulated environments.
  • English fluent
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication.
  • Manage multiple interfaces & tasks, making difficult decisions under pressure.
  • Effective stakeholders & expectations managements.
  • Pro-active resolution of issues, action orientated & delivery focused.
  • Understanding of the Agro-industry.
  • Analytical & strategic thinking.
  • Finance acumen.
