Location: São Paulo, São Paulo (Brazil)

Role Purpose

You will be part of the Finance team and will support Crop Protection and Seeds Operations.

Accountabilities

  • Accountable for preparing local Financial Statements. Focal point for external audit process. Key interlocutor between external auditors and Syngenta´s teams.
  • Build and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, mainly finance business partners.
  • Provide technical accounting advice.
  • Responsible for signing-off the Reporting submissions in line with the Syngenta Financial Reporting requirements. Perform month end close activities for IFRS and BRGAAP books (mainly acting as process owner reviewing the figures) and address any questions from HQ in order to ensure the rationale of reported figures.
  • Prepare and present several reports to local authorities based on financial information and within deadlines.
  • Provide clear and updated information to business helping to accurate and timely decisions.
  • Contribute to a high level of financial compliance.

Qualifications

Essential for this position:

  • Sound accounting background (bachelor’s degree in accounting).
  • Good working knowledge of IFRS and BRGAAP.
  • Working experience on financial areas.
  • Analytic skills, dynamic, team working, organized and attentive to deadlines.
  • High communication skills.
  • Experience in external audit processes will be highly valuable.
  • Ability to work under pressure while keeping high quality of output.
  • Intermediate level of English. Spanish will be a differential.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Microsoft Excel knowledge.

Desirable qualifications:

  • Experience in Accounting/Reporting or External Audit areas.
