The primary responsibility of the Data Analyst would be to collect, clean, normalize and transform data from various internal and external sources, including databases, spreadsheets, surveys, PDFs and other structured or unstructured data sources.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Using statistical methods, programming languages, and data analysis tools to explore, interpret, and derive insights from the data. This may involve identifying patterns, correlations, and trends within the dataset.
  • Creating visual representations of data, such as charts, graphs, and dashboards, to effectively communicate findings and insights to stakeholders.
  • Working closely with other team members, such as business analysts and decision-makers, to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
  • Collaborating with other teams to understand their data domains and connect dots across data domains.
  • Understand current data structure and leverage it to advance market intelligence capabilities.
  • Proficiency in using data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, and others, depending on the specific requirements of the role.
  • Help develop new datasets to better monitor developments in our value chain (competitors, channel partners, customers, consumers...).

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or economy.  Master’s degree preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in data analysis
  • Experience working with agriculture data (preferred).
  • Experience working mainly in a primary data environment with little to no secondary data.
  • Knowledge of visualization techniques and when to apply them.
  • Extensive experience using PowerBI and Qlik to bring data insights to life for broad audiences
  • Working knowledge of Python to acquire, analyze, clean data.
  • Understanding of effective data modeling strategies and implementations.
  • Intermediate-to-advanced data analysis skills Excel.  Experience with R and SQL is beneficial.
  • Basic statistics proficiency.
  • Able to translate business intelligence needs from a variety of stakeholders into the technical execution and presentation.
  • Experience working with executives and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Strong communication skills - able to communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
