As a Web Technical Architect, you will be responsible for leading the technical design and architecture of a global large-scale Drupal multisite platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, developers, and stakeholders, to build a scalable, secure, and high-performing digital solution that meets the business requirements and best practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Drupal 9/10, Acquia Cloud Platform and Site Factory, Cloudflare, New Relic, integrations with Salesforce, Marketing cloud, and other enterprise platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall technical vision, architecture, and development of Drupal 10 enterprise multi-site platform built on Acquia Site Factory to ensure maximum performance, scalability, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, developers, and stakeholders of all levels, to identify business requirements.
- Evaluate technical requirements and dependencies, provide recommendations, and develop solutions for multisite Drupal architecture, CMS integration, API development, security and performance optimization.
- Identify and propose innovative solutions to meet business challenges and continuously improve the platform's performance, scalability, and security.
- Ensure that web applications comply with industry standards, including web accessibility, usability, and security.
- Implement website performance, scalability, and security best practices, including load testing, caching, and other optimization techniques.
- Monitor and analyze system performance using New Relic and take proactive measures to optimize performance based on the insights gained.
- Integrate Drupal with enterprise and marketing platforms, including Salesforce and Marketing cloud, using API integrations.
- Establish technical standards and guidelines for the development team to follow in Drupal development projects.
- Work collaboratively with the development, testing, and security teams to ensure quality and security standards are met.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team, review code, and ensure that it meets coding standards and best practices.
- Ensure proper documentation of the architecture, configuration, and maintenance processes for the Drupal platform.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years experience in Drupal development, with at least 4 years as a Technical Architect.
- Extensive experience in enterprise-scale multisite Drupal 9/10 projects, with experience in Acquia Cloud hosting platform and Acquia Site Factory.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and other web service integration techniques.
- Practical experience in integrations with Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and other platforms through API development.
- Strong understanding of optimization, security, performance, scalability, and API best practices.
- Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and other relevant web technologies.
- Experience with Apache Solr. & enterprise-grade CDN solutions like Cloudflare.
- Experience with New Relic or other performance monitoring and analysis tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA teams, and project managers.
- Experience with project management, agile development methodologies, and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Willingness to stay up to date with Drupal advancements and continue learning new technologies.
