To support that challenge, the Vegetable Quality Control team is currently seeking a Vendor and Data Management Operations Lead to be located in Nampa, Idaho

Role Purpose
This role is responsible for driving QMS, data and vendor management and initiatives across the Americas QC Operations. As responsible for all external QC data generated, this role identifies and validates all 3rd party labs and acts as the main point of contact for all these vendors. Responsibilities for data analytics provides capacity visualization and utilization as well as asset planning and continuous improvement capabilities to the Americas QC Lead and functional QC leads. Procurement and sample management support is provided across QC operations to ensure SLAs are met. Acts as subject matter expert for lab certifications and is key contact person with these external organizations.
 

Accountabilities

  • People management: coach and lead teams and employees, stimulate development of people through education, training and exchange, and recruit, motivate and assess performance of staff.
  • Participate in QC leadership team to develop and implement QC strategies and have focus on the end-to-end business results.
  • Develop and maintain expertise on lab certifications (AOSA/NSHS/ISTA/NAL/GSPP/etc) both internally and externally. Act as main point of contact externally.
  • Responsible for external data quality; identification and validation of all 3rd party labs utilized as well as verification of all QC data generated at those labs. Act as main point of contact with external vendors as well as main point of contact with Supply Chain Strategists, Planning & Operations, QA, R&D, etc on testing possibilities.
  • Acts as Quality Management System “champion” promoting QMS. Develop and maintain QMS expertise to drive quality mindset, continuous improvement, audits, Corrective/Preventative Action Report utilization, and Quality initiatives across Americas QC organization.
  • Acts as LEAN/6Sigma “champion” promoting culture of continuous improvement. Continuously improve operational processes by driving project management and LEAN/6Sigma initiatives.
  • Asset planning; support capacity planning, engage stakeholders, and ensure QC functions are informed on business demands and any capacity restraints. Drive solutions and provide data driven proposals to resolve short and long term capacity challenges.
  • Analyze Seed Health, Physiology, and Genetic Purity capacity visualization and utilization data to provide support to QC functions, guide CAPEX investments, and model impact of Supply Chain changes to lab capacity.
  • Procurement responsibilities for QC Operations
  • Sample coordination and data management for all QC functions both internally and externally.

Qualifications

Requirement

  • Good knowledge of testing methods and technologies as well as lab certifications such as AOSA and NSHS
  • Team management and coaching skills
  • Effective communication to develop constructive relationships
  • Leadership & teamwork skills
  • Understanding of quality management systems (e.g. ISO)
  • Data analysis and visualization skills
  • Skills to perform in an international work environment; ability and passion to engage with various and diverse cultures and work habits.

Preferred Requirements

  • Project management and/or LEAN/6Sigma skills
  • Higher Professional education / University education working and thinking level
  • Experience as a people leader
  • Effective communicator, well developed written & presentation skills
  • Quality focus
  • HSE, result and quality driven
  • Change management skills
