We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Vegetables Finance Business Partner AME to provide financial leadership and support to the AME Vegetables Seeds business and acts as a Business Partner for all countries within the Territory. Reporting to the Head Finance EAME Vegetables. The successful candidate will be a key member of the AME VEG leadership team, responsible for leading the financial decision-making process to maximize value creation, supported by robust, timely financial analysis. Main tasks are preparing periodical performance reports, financial analysis and capital proposals, discussing underlying assumptions, reasons for major deviations and identifying key risks and exposures. As well as supporting the budget, forecast and strategic processes and acting as a change agent in developing new ways of working.

 The Challenge

The role in question involves providing financial support to the AME Vegetables Seeds leadership team, ensuring that all business and strategic decisions are backed by timely and robust financial analysis. This position involves supporting the AME Vegetables Seeds business, promoting end-to-end connectivity and value creation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating the financial impact of relevant business strategies, including the assessment of new businesses and models. Additionally, they will drive the effective and efficient delivery of business goals through sound financial analysis and advice, balancing short, medium, and long-term financial planning and monitoring.

Risk management is also a crucial aspect of this position, as the candidate will need to provide business management with risk-based analysis on potential impacts and implications, as well as propose potential ways to improve risk management on key economic exposures. In addition to understanding the GTM strategy and providing financial analysis for decision-making purposes, the candidate will be responsible for assuming full P&L accountability for AME VEG Seeds, and maintaining relevant financials, including working capital.

Overall, the successful candidate will need to work cross-functionally to drive business performance and new business models while ensuring that all business decisions are supported by robust, timely information and are taken with a full understanding of the financial impact and potential risks/exposures. Other responsibilities include conducting a thorough assessment of relevant indicators, providing insight, and recommending potential mitigation options to potential risks/exposures and supporting 5-year plans and budgets. Ultimately, the candidate will need to demonstrate through effective business partnership how finance can add value to the business to maximize bottom-line growth.


Qualifications

The Profile

We are looking for someone who has a sound knowledge of business and industry drivers, as well as business issues. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to understand, communicate, and manage complex cross-functional issues, as well as leverage and influence resources outside of their direct reporting lines. They should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in Finance, with strong basic accounting knowledge and advanced in systems usage (such as SAP/SAC/Excel/PowerPoint). A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required, and an MBA is preferred.
