Location:  Brazil ( preference for Holambra but not restrict to it)

Goal:  Leads the Veg business in the Brazil & PAraguay Territory inside the Americas Region, delivering short and mid-term business targets while building an effective, and sustainable long term end-to-end business.

Accountabilities

  • Contributes to Global and Regional Veg Strategy as well as specific Crop Strategies as a key driver to deliver sustainable long term Territory business objectives
  • Designs and drives evolution of go-to-market strategies in the Territory to deliver an effective and efficient business
  • Actively manages the human capital within the Territory to ensure high performing teams, building an effective talent pool for a sustainable future
  • Nurtures key contacts in the Veg industry and build relationships with outside bodies that have major influence on Syngenta business and our license to operate
  • Monitors business performance and adjust strategies to achieve sales, profitability, and overall business contribution targets
  • Engages with Syngenta Regional Leadership to ensure effective, value-adding collaboration across the Region with a focus on synergic strategies and managing shared resources
  • Leads the Territory commercial team ensuring sustainable and scalable profitable business by developing, maintaining and increasing market share in different crops
  • Ensures Syngenta's full compliance with the applicable legal and regulatory framework as well as Syngenta's own legal and ethical, HSE, Corporate Security, Risk Management and Corporate Governance standards
  • Provides overall BU leadership for Veg Seeds teams in the Territory operating in R&D and Production Operations

Qualifications

Critical experience and knowledge

  • BS/BA Degree (MS preferred) in Agriculture, Business, Marketing or related field
  • Experience in management, product development, project management, sales and/or Agribusiness
  • Strong business & finance acumen
  • Experience in leading multi-functional teams
  • Experience in multiple operating models and distribution networks
  • Strong Marketing background and strong understnading of customer segmentation
  • Focus on creating value for our customers
  • Understanding of market dynamics and competitive environment
