As part of Syngenta Canada, the Systems Specialist will be the key point of contact for data and systems administration, as they ensure all systems used by the business are functioning to meet the business needs.
This Systems Specialist position has a flexible work location and can be based from Guelph, ON, or remotely across Canada. This position is a 12-month fixed-term contract position.
Accountabilities
- Provide ongoing support for systems used by the business. Examples of systems: SalesForce, Qlik, Anaplan
- Maintain and improve usability and function of tools and systems
- Build and maintain data visualization tools across the business
- Support the broader commercial operations team when and as needed
- Be the key Canadian point of contact for the global and North American IT and systems teams
- Ensure ongoing systems upgrades, changes and projects are being completed as needed
- Serves as the business representative for Supply and Operations on cross-functional projects to collaboratively drive process improvements to benefit involved stakeholders
- Drives process improvements by ensuring to implement North American data system improvement projects that will meet (or exceeds) our Seeds business requirements in Canada for long term growth.
- Collaborate across multiple teams to ensure business impact for long-term goals and strategies
Qualifications
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelors Degree in related field
- In depth knowledge of the business systems and needs with cross functional information flow
- General knowledge of logistics, planning, and production principles required to ensure systems are operating as intended.
- Experience building and maintaining system administration, reports, dashboards, within systems such as SalesForce and SmartSheets
- Experience working in a customer-focused role
- Communication skills including oral, listening and writing skills to ensure effective communication between project teams, business units, customers and suppliers.
- Planning, prioritizing and organizational skills to organize workload and allow for possible crisis resolution.
- Team player within multiple teams at once, and able to work independently.
