As Strategy and Business Intelligence Trainee you will work closely with the Business Intelligence Manager to manage requests and project work for the Syngenta Crop Protection organization, e.g. competitive intelligence, new market sizing, and future ways of working in Business Intelligence. In your role, you will support the Senior Strategy Manager and Head of Strategy & Business Development in strategy-related projects, e.g. product line, portfolio, active ingredient, and functional strategies.

Accountabilities

  • Contribute to various Strategy and Business intelligence projects by leading sub-stream(s) on content creation, collection of information from various functions within Syngenta Crop Protection, development of recommendations
  • Work on projects such as competitive intelligence, new market sizing, and future ways of working in Business Intelligence.
  • Assist the Senior Strategy Manager and Head of Strategy & Business Development in strategy-related projects, e.g. product line, portfolio, active ingredient, and functional strategies
  • Support in answering requests received by the Business Intelligence team from different areas of the Crop Protection organization

Qualifications

  • Understanding of international businesses, business intelligence, and marketing strategies – preferably MBA or similar
  • Ability to work independently within clearly communicated responsibilities and with guidance from Senior Strategy Manager and Business Intelligence Manager/Lead
  • Effective communicator, strong PowerPoint and presentation skills
  • Experienced Excel user, especially in Excel modeling
  • Fast learner and able to process and condense different information from various sources
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment, language skills other than English are a plus
  • Previous exposure to the agricultural industry is a plus
