🍃 🕵️ What's the challenge of being a Solutions Architect?

You'll be part of the Computational Agronomy (CompAg) team, the group responsible for codifying agronomy at Syngenta Digital. We transform science and data into agronomic intelligence, powering models and insights that farmers and advisors use around the world.

As a Solutions Architect, you'll help design the systems that make this possible: Cloud architectures that connect models, data, and products, enabling scale, interoperability, and real-world impact. You'll collaborate with scientists, engineers, and product owners to turn research into production-ready solutions that live within the Insights Engine and Cropwise platforms.


Qualifications

📎📢What do you need to excel at this?

  • 8+ years of experience in software development and architecture roles that include the use of Geospatial Processing and/or Computer Vision and/or Machine Learning .
  • Strong proficiency in Python and cloud-native systems (AWS preferred).
  • Solid understanding of geospatial and agronomic data processing (weather, soil, crop management, remote sensing).
  • Experience with Computer Vision and AI/ML model orchestration.
  • Ability to translate complex scientific and business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB, Redis).
  • Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures.
  • Strong background in AWS, including Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, MSK, and API Gateway.
  • Knowledge of automated testing and CI/CD best practices.
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Ability to translate complex scientific and business challenges into scalable technical solutions.
  • Fluent English and strong communication skills to collaborate in a global environment.
