Job description

To support this mission, Syngenta’s NA Crop Protection Human Resources team is looking for a Senior HR Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support throughout the employee lifecycle for our US Crop Protection Production & Supply (P&S) organization. Located at our St. Gabriel manufacturing plant, this person will be the primary HR contact for all employees up to the direct reports of the St. Gabriel Site Leadership team, with additional remote support for our Omaha facility and other P&S teams. The role serves as the main point of contact for employees and managers, while partnering with HR teams to drive operational excellence.

Accountabilities:

  • Coach managers and employees on career development, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Support talent acquisition activities and end-of-employment processes.
  • Foster positive employee relations and engagement.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, processes, and Workday systems.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for employee lifecycle matters.
  • Manage employee relations and compliance matters.
  • Conduct investigations in consultation with Legal and HR Business Partnering.
  • Ensure consistent policy implementation.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence.
  • Drive process standardization and efficiency improvements.
  • Maintain organizational structures in HR systems.
  • Support immigration processes.
  • Coordinate manager training and new hire onboarding.
  • Contribute to HR initiatives and business projects.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of HR experience.
  • Strong employee relations background.
  • Experience in a non-union manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record in investigations and compliance.

  • Master's degree.
  • SHRM membership.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Manufacturing plant HR experience.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellence in project execution.
  • Advanced problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding communication skills.

Additional Information

  • Location: St. Gabriel, LA, manufacturing plant.
  • Travel: 25-30% (including visits to other P&S plants and annual GSO team meeting).
  • Remote Support: Omaha, NE plant (current) and Orangeburg, SC plant (future).
