Job description

To support this mission, Syngenta’s Commercial Team is seeking a GreenLeaf Soybean Technical Product Manager in Des Moines, Iowa. 

Accountabilities: 

  • Lead licensed seed company customers to identify product fit of GreenLeaf-offered varieties based on needs for their portfolios and sales geographies.
  • Encourage and facilitate customer participation in GreenLeaf genetic field days, internal trials, customer trials, and other training opportunities to aid in mutual growth.
  • Develop, plan, and deliver technical product information on commercial varieties to promote Syngenta germplasm and traits directly with licensed seed company customers. This includes providing supporting information on product performance using internal and third-party data to promote adoption of GreenLeaf-offered varieties.
  • Assist in the selection and placement recommendation of pre-commercial varieties with growing season observations, notes, documentation, images, and data from Syngenta’s internal trials (600, 700, DEMO, etc.) to offer new varieties matching customers’ portfolios and geographic needs.
  • Collaborate with GreenLeaf KAM and PPS teams to demonstrate requested varieties for advancement, with justification of marketplace fit for customer needs.
  • Collaborate closely with PPS, GreenLeaf Product Marketing, and GreenLeaf Product & Data Lead teams to develop GreenLeaf’s product release materials and support the creation of the annual Soybean Product Guide and additional marketing materials.
  • Lead licensed seed company customers’ production plans and testing recommendations, from planning to seed order fulfillment.
  • Provide timely and accurate input for soybean parent seed (including multi-year support supply), test seed, lifecycle management, and ramp seed production forecasts as requested.
  • Manage annual sales volume expectations with the GreenLeaf Key Account Manager and/or National Account Manager for parent seed, test seed, and customer royalty units for licensed seed company customers in the defined region.
  • Train and support GreenLeaf Key Account Manager and National Account Manager team members on current GreenLeaf soybean varieties to assist in product tours and promotion with licensed seed company customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, genetics, or breeding.
  • Extensive seed soybean experience.
  • Agronomy and seed production practice knowledge.
  • Customer management.
  • Knowledge of the Seed industry.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and data management.
