We are looking for a skilled Chemist to join our Formulation Group. Your role will be to apply your fundamental understanding of physical chemistry and a scientific approach to develop new crop protection products.

A love of practical work, good organisation skills, scientific curiosity and an ability to solve technical problems are all critical for the role.

Our Senior Formulation Chemists undertake research within the scope of the project, establishing a programme of research activity working collaboratively with internal colleagues and external partners.  Therefore, you need to be comfortable working at the interface of scientific disciplines as you will be working with scientists from other functions as part of multi-disciplinary project teams.  You will need great communication skills to report, record and present your data to technical and business teams.

We are committed to your development and growth, so we will provide opportunities for continuous learning.  We are looking for people with a continuing passion to learn and the drive to take advantage of longer-term opportunities in both scientific and line management careers

  • Our ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the colloid science relevant to the design and characterisation of formulated products, and some experience of designing and making formulations, however additional training will be provided where needed. Good data handling skills are a bonus.
  • As safety is our first priority, all candidates must have experience of working independently and safely in a chemical lab environment.
