Accountabilities:

  • Lead a MSC team to top performance in all aspects of field operations, personnel management, and training of 3rd party labor.
  • Different projects tracking.
  • On-time delivery of project seed to the allow planting of next generation.
  • Ensure best practice documentation and timely process compliance with established protocols, process metrics and KPIs.
  • Management of company databases and online files.
  • Lead different stakeholders and involved teams in the related processes, ensuring seamless track and trace and minimizing errors.
  • Write and manage MSC nursery trials in corporate databases; interpret and execute on Genotyping Lab data reports. Record nursery notes as necessary and upload to databases.
  • Regular and timely ad hoc communication to MXPV Crop Lead.Supervise all Corn Technician and temporaries  appropiately to ensure the KPIs.
  • Implement/develop new proyects.
  • Active comunication with Agronomy and Operations teams to ensuring key issues are escalated in a timely manner.
  • Identify ,train and develop Research Technician  to maximize their supervision skills and team integration and attention to details when leading fields.

Qualifications

Knowledge, experience & capabilities

  • M.S. in agriculture crop science or biology related to field (desired).
  • BS in Agronomy, Biotechnology, Corn, Breeding or related field or in relevant science, with 3+ years industry related experience.  
  • Knowledge of seed crop research, production, and quality assurance practices.
  • Knowledge and experience in corn, soybean, and sunflower seed production.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use computer software for data management.
  • Excellent skills for interpreting research data.
  • Quality and effectiveness of communication and collaboration with all stakeholders.
  • Communication skills with experience in people management. 
  • Experience of partnering with multicultural teams.
  • Commitment and drive results oriented.
  • Decision-making in the face of conflicting priorities and ambiguity
  • English proficient written and speaking.
