Senior Cloud Network Engineer

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network security solutions to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our organization's data and systems. The Senior Network Security Engineer will play a critical role in identifying potential security vulnerabilities, developing strategies to mitigate risks, and responding to security incidents.

What will you do:

• Responsible for working with business partners to discover requirements.
• Define network security solutions based on business requirements, which can be supported by internal network teams.
• Prevent, detect, and respond to threats for cloud solutions including Azure/AWS
• Work with 3rd party vendors on Syngenta’s security posture.
• Work with 3rd party vendors on Syngenta’s security posture.
• Support new security projects and initiatives.
• The configuration, support, and administration of firewall environments in line with IT security policy.
• Present solutions to internal/external stakeholders including design and cost model.
• Creating and Maintaining Security systems and policies
• Investigate and define designs for automation of network security processes to enhance productivity.
• Ensure handover of solutions to engineering/operations teams is performed with appropriate documentation.
• Proactively identify, engage, and act on situations where “things could be better.”
• Continually evaluate service capacity and performance; make recommendations for technical and service changes as appropriate.
• Work with design and planning team to define, refine, and suggest alternate designs or permanent remediation of issues.
• Working with vendor to support and detailed technical designs/troubleshooting as needed.
• Work with Security architects to investigate & troubleshoot issues.
• Act as a coach and mentor for more junior engineers, partnering on issues and helping.

What do you need to have:

• Experience of working across different network security platforms including Cisco/Palo Alto
• Strong experience of creation and deployment of new security polices including amendment of firewalls rules.
• Ability to identify security threats and present findings and resolution.
• Experience for designing, deploying, configuring, maintaining, and fixing the network security implementations of Palo Alto Networks for AWS Cloud Environment.
• Strong hands-on experience in configuration of Network architecture on AWS with VPC, Subnets, Security Group, NACL, Internet gateway, NAT Gateway, NAT Instance, Route table, VPC peering & Transit Gateway.
• Excellent design and architecture skills and experience of agile delivery methods
• Experience and working knowledge in cloud technologies AWS/Azure/Google Cloud
• Solid understanding of network technologies/solution from design to Implementation.
• Working knowledge of network protocols and functions
• Ability to convey complex technical topics into layman terms while under time constraints.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities at one time while meeting deadlines.
• Experience leading technology and service implementation & refresh projects from a technical, not just a coordination perspective
• An ideal candidate will have significant experience designing, implementing, and operating enterprise level network services.
