Are you passionate about plant genetics and quality control? Do you thrive in a dynamic laboratory environment? Syngenta's Vegetable Seeds division is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Senior Analyst for Purity & Analytical QC Operations to join our team in beautiful Enkhuizen, The Netherlands!

 

The Challenge

You'll be joining a multicultural team of 8 colleagues in the Purity & Analytical lab. As a Senior Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and purity of our vegetable seeds. You'll conduct cutting-edge genetic and analytical tests, lead exciting projects, and collaborate with experts across our global organization. Your main responsibilities are:

 

  • Perform advanced laboratory tests using flow cytometry, liquid chromatography, and molecular marker analysis
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest innovative
  • Lead and support team projects, aimed at continuous improvements and implementation of new methods
  • Provide technical expertise and training to team members
  • Analyse complex data and perform root cause analysis to contribute to data-driven decision making
  • Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders
  • Participate in international quality control initiatives and proficiency testing

Qualifications

Your Profile

  • MSc in plant genetics, biotechnology, plant breeding, biochemistry, or related field
  • OR BSc/HBO in a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience in laboratory settings, preferably with flow cytometry and HPLC/UPLC techniques
  • Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills
  • Excellent data analysis abilities and proficiency with Excel (additional data tools a plus!)
  • Fluency in English (Dutch is a nice bonus)
