Role Purpose
The EAME Invoice to Pay (I2P) Helpdesk team is responsible for supporting our external vendors and internal end-users throughout the lifecycle of Syngenta’s Invoice to Pay process. The Senior Accounts Payable Specialist provide exceptional customer service, promptly and accurately when responding to internal and external queries and leading Projects link to process efficiency.

Accountabilities
Senior Accounts Payable Specialist is required to:

  • Support end users and Finance Operations teams in every aspect of Invoice to Pay Services (I2P) and interact with all I2P operations & service teams across Syngenta, within the full range of I2P
  • Support Accounts Payable Analysts in the daily Operation and being act as a Subject Matter Expert
  • Courteously, accurately, and professionally respond to inbound calls from Syngenta employees and external suppliers on the Invoice to Pay process area
  • Manage the inflow of tickets through our Service Now support and ticketing tool
  • Answer requests for assistance when users require help to complete a task in Invoice to Pay as per agreed service levels for turnaround of tickets/requests
  • Support the other Invoice to Pay teams to ensure performance targets are met
  • Identify opportunities for process/system optimization, work with I2P Business Partners and Operation teams and lead Projects link to CI improvement and process efficiency
  • Train, supervise and mentoring new team members to reach full potential
  • Support Team Leaders and Managers for operational tasks (reporting, escalations, calls with business)
  • Identifying the correct course of action and resolving issues, managing documentation
  • Liaise with the wider Support Team regarding outstanding calls and managing customer expectations.
  • Provide good customer service at all times striving to exceed client and business expectations.
  • Participate and Support transformation activities associated with new digital implementations (i.e. ServiceDesk Automation via Machine Learning)

Qualifications

Finance Capabilities required / expected in the role
We expect that in this role must possess and demonstrate certain key capabilities to enable him/herself with right skillset in order to be successful. These capabilities can be suggested -

  • As a Builder, he/she must be good at Collaborating in a virtual environment
  • As a Persuader, he/she must be Persuasive to drive changes with other Business Functions

As a Strategist, he/she must demonstrate Strong Digital Awareness and  IT Innovation skillset

Knowledge, experience & capabilities
Senior Accounts Payable Analyst should be ideally having –

  • 3+ years’ experience in Accounts Payable / Procurement / P2P or I2P operations at multinational companies; SSC environment is preferred (internship as well)
  • Fluent English and Upper Intermediate German knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, confidence to interact with vendors and end users across the company
  • Customer- and service-oriented thinking
  • Good analytical skills in order to determine the best course of action to resolve incoming queries
  • Strong ability of multi-tasking and prioritizing, excellent time management
  • Ability to apply knowledge of process and policy when providing answers or solutions
  • Experience in supporting innovation and continuous improvement initiatives (desirable)
  • Hands on experience on SAP
  • Knowledge of systems: MS Office, Service Now, Concur, SAP, Ariba, Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) (desirable)
  • Team player, Service Focus, Judgement
  • Execution, Results Orientation and Collaboration
