We have a unique opportunity to join our European Production and Supply organization to oversee and manage its Supply Chain function, being responsible for the entire Order-to-Cash (O2C) process and ensuring customer satisfaction. As the new Supply Chain Manager, you will align the unit strategy with the regional, drive improvements while maintain compliance and represent Syngenta to government officials. As part of CU North leadership, you will provide strategic guidance in Customer Service, sales, and demand planning while ensuring the capabilities and resources meet business needs and support the 5-year plan.

Accountabilities

  • Manage product delivery and customer satisfaction, ensuring on-time, in-full deliveries at optimal cost.
  • Oversee supplier governance (warehouse, transportation, customs clearance), order management, and demand planning.
  • Monitor market dynamics and lead supply chain transformations in line with the business strategy.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in supply chain processes.
  • Manage department budget and support financial reporting requirements.
  • Develop team capabilities with coaching and training and ensure robust succession planning.
  • Ensure compliance and maintain operational licensing across Commercial Unit (CU) supply chain.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and maintain strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in a similar leadership position involving supply chain and project/change management.
  • Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration).
  • Ability to manage stakeholders in a matrix structure within a multinational organization and excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Understanding of cross-functional processes (sales, marketing, finance etc.).
  • Data analysis skills and experience in continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Holistic understanding of Agribusiness is an advantage.

Our site

The preferred location is Fulbourn, but other UK locations could be considered for the right candidate.

Syngenta’s site at Fulbourn is the location for the commercial operations of Syngenta's Crop Protection, Seeds, Flowers and Lawn & Garden businesses in the UK and Ireland. Activities include sales, marketing, technical support, customer support, HR, Finance and administration functions. 

The UK Crop Protection and Seeds business employs a commercial team based at Fulbourn which includes a home-based field force along with a small team based in Waterford Ireland.  It provides growers with a wide range of products to help protect their crops from pests, weeds and diseases. Our innovative technologies, products and services deliver efficient solutions to agricultural production problems.
